On August 14, Telltale Games begins our final journey with the young survivor Clementine. In anticipation, the studio has put out the final launch trailer for the series. The video introduces the new setting called Erickson’s School For Troubled Youth. Clem and her charge AJ find themselves in a Lord of the Flies situation as the camp has a traitor among them while these kids simply want to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Episode one, “Done Running”, will introduce new visuals, mechanics, and characters to the series. Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey. After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home.

Those who have played the previous games will be able to import their save files through their Telltale account. Doing so will see every decision you’ve made across Clementine’s journey reflected in The Final Season. Yes, PlayStation will only accept save files from PlayStation systems and mobile. If you’ve moved over from Xbox, you’re not totally out of luck. Telltale has put together an interactive video to catch you up on Clementine’s story from the beginning and it also allows you to make crucial decisions that you can upload in order to shape your playthrough of The Final Season from the start.

Episode one of The Final Season will be available for download starting August 14, 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One across all regions. The Final Season will also launch digitally on Nintendo Switch on August 14 in North America and later this month in Europe and other regions.
