Star Wars and Comics! It is tradition! And Rogue One will not break that tradition as ts getting  a six issue mini series adaptation from writer Jody Houser (Max Ride) and artist  Emilio Laiso (Star Wars Annual). According to EW, we’ll see more the back story that previously appeared only in trailers, like Jyn Erso standing in corridors.

JODY HOUSER: The comics will definitely expand on what was seen in both Rogue One the film and the novelization. Lucasfilm and Gareth Edwards had a bunch of ideas for extra scenes and character moments that didn’t make it into the film. I’m having a lot of fun playing around with those. Adaptations across different forms of media have always been a great opportunity to explore other facets of the story, and we’re excited to have new material in the Rogue One comic.

“There are also some amazing moments in the novelization I want to incorporate. So it’s really a mix of material from existing versions of the story, as well as new scenes,” she told Marvel.com.
