And here’s Diamond’s chart of the top 1000 comic books of the year, led by Walking Dead #115—giving Image a 2-for-2 topping the year end charts. JLA #1 was DC’s top selling book, while Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy toped their own list. According to John Jackson Miller’s preliminary analysis, the Top 1000 Comics for 2013 account for 53 million copies, more than half of what Diamond sold; and total $202 million, a $10 million increase over 2012. The Top 1000 GNs went for $79 million at full retail, up from $71 million — although those figures are, as mentioned above, prone to inflation due to discounting.
