The Dark Knight Rises’ Christopher Nolan talked at length to Indiewire’s Playlist and mentioned, among other things, that the scale of this film has not been seen since the silent film days, in terms of the number of extras, which totaled 11,000 per day some days. Also of note, there will be no reference whatsoever to The Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. Advance tickets for IMAX screenings of the flick will go on sale on June 11th, btw  (via Indiewire and Deadline)
