Elric of Melniboné is one of the better-known swords and sorcery characters to not be created by Tolkien or George RR Martin, highly respected as a major influence on fantasy literature. Now one of his most definitive stories told through comics is coming back into print.

Elric: Ruby Throne is receiving the deluxe edition treatment from Statix Press, an imprint of Titan Comics focused on bringing some of Europe’s best sequential storytelling to UK and US markets, including this graphic novel collecting the Elric storyline written by Julien Blondel and illustrated by Didier Poli, Robin Recht & Jean Bastide.

Telling the story of Elric The Albino Emperor’s rule of the Ancient Island Of Melniboné threatened by his envious Cousin Yyrkoon, this edition includes a new cover with foil treatment and an introduction from Elric’s creator Michael Moorcock.

The Beat is happy to present an exclusive preview of this classic newly published by Statix.
