The night before the Small Press Expo (the premiere independent cartooning and comics arts festival) opens in Bethesda (www.spxpo.com), we will be celebrating Atomic Books’ 16th Anniversary with a night of music and cartoonists & comickers in Baltimore.

Part Atomic anniversary celebration, part book release party for Jesse Reklaw’s The Night Of Your Life (published by Dark Horse), part book release party for Brian Ralph’s Daybreak Volume 3 (published by Bodega) and part Small Press Expo pre-party, our 16th ANNIVERSARY SPX-PLOSION PRE-PARTY will feature performances by many of the best & brightest young indy comic creators, debuts of new comics and mini-comics, fantastic bands, and even more of your favorite shy cartoonists huddling in the corners drinking themselves loopy while silently hoping and fearing someone will say something to them about their work.

It’s gonna be huge!! Seriously.
