Such a busy weekend! The indie comics tour continues in the Midwest with the SPACE Festival, held this year at a new location:

Columbus, OH 43229

Show hours are 10-6 Saturday and 11-5 Sunday. The festival includes the presentation of the SPACE Prize, given to publications submitted at the show. The complete exhibitor list is here and includes many of the region’s finest, including Sean McKeever, Paul Hornschemeier, Carol Tyler, Lora Innes, and many, many more.

  1. This is Mike Kitchen reporting LIVE from Columbus, Ohio. We’re just about to make our way downstairs to set up the Ultraist Studios / Possum Press table for day 2 of SPACE. It’s interesting to note that we sold more SPY GUY and The POSSUM comics during day 1 of SPACE than we did during day 1 of MoCCA. Much like MoCCA, we’re filming a video-blog mini-documentary. Once it is completed (hopefully by next weekend) we’ll provide a link to The BEAT.

  2. Had a great time at SPACE this weekend and wish I had gotten there sooner on Saturday. My first con-event ever. Floor traffic seemed a little slow but it was fantastic to meet other cartoonists and check out each other’s work. I sold out of one of my minicomics, “Brown Paper”, too, so I’ve got something extra to be happy about.
