So far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe filmgoers have seen four of the fabled Infinity Stones (they’ll always be Gems to be, gosh darnit!).

According to what little I can remember, the following are accounted for:

The Space Stone – was hidden inside the Tesseract (Cosmic Cube) in Captain America: The First Avenger and Avengers
The Reality Stone – that red goop thing called the Aether in Thor: The Dark World
The Power Stone – The Orb in Guardians of the Galaxy
The Mind Stone – Loki’s scepter in Avengers and is now lodged in Vision’s head via the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron

We’ve gotten a bit of a break from these deus ex machina shenanigans between Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War, but with Doctor Strange, it sounds like we’re being snapped back into place for the lead-up to Avengers: Infinity War.

ComicBook.com spoke with the prop master for the film, Barry Gibbs (no, not the disco icon), who stated that the mystical Eye of Agamatto will contain a stone of some sort, one is pretty safe to assume it will be the fifth stone.

According to their report, the object went through a number of different iterations in order to find the right look and size:

“I’ve got a board laid out with how many stones we went through,” Gibbs said, referring to the different design possibilities for the stone. “I think there was something like 24 color variations of the stone.”

Given that Kevin Feige has already stated that Stephen Strange will be able to manipulate time utilizing the Eye, it leads one to assume that the stone inside is the Time Stone. Though between Time and Soul, either is pretty likely for a supernatural based film like Doctor Strange.

I wonder where that last stone will pop up? Thor: Ragnarok? Infinity War itself?
