This April, we’re heading back to Etheria! This time, the stakes are sure to be even higher. On Thursday, DreamWorks announced that Noelle Stevenson’s smash-hit animated seriesShe-Ra and the Princesses of Power, will return for a second season on April 26. The studio shared the announcement on its She-Ra social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Although there’s no official trailer for She-Ra season two or new clips, DreamWorks employed moments from season one for a 32-second teaser. It shows Glimmer, Entrapta, Adora and Mermista “commenting on the news,” as well as Bow. There are no further details about the upcoming season, but even a release date is worthy of celebration.

Fan response to She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was so strong after last year’s New York Comic Con that Netflix pushed up the series release date by three days. It seems unlikely that will happen again, given that April 26 is so soon, but we can always hope. In the meantime, we’ll be rewatching season one and speculating about what’s to come. All we know for sure is that there will be more kid-friendly drama, especially after the explosive season one finale.
