For those who don’t like to be surprised about what they’ll find when they arrive at San Diego for the five day time slip known as Comic-Con, a plethora of information on what you’ll see and find is already out there. SPOILERS ahoy, but forewarned is forearmed.

As you may have noticed, the San Diego Public LIbrary is now a hotspot of comics-related events. I understand there’ll be a whole slate of industry themed programing taking place there, but for early birds who get in Tuesday (an increasing number of people) the whole show kicks off with an Evening with Raina Telgemeier:

Graphic novel superstar Raina Telgemeier, the best-selling author of Smile, Sisters, and Drama, is coming to the San Diego Central Library in downtown San Diego, on Tuesday, July 7 at 6:00 PM for “An Evening With Raina,” a free event to help you get ready for Comic-Con International! Come hear her talk about her mega-popular all-ages graphic novels. Bring your questions and find out what’s next for Raina at this special event presented by Comic-Con International and Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, in conjunction with the San Diego Public Library.

The Toucan blog also just revealed some of the “outside of Comic-Con” activities going on. For instance, Adult Swim will be running a little carnival area behind the convention center:

Adult Swim on the Green
Adult Swim is returning to Comic-Con and they’ve got a carnival following them around this time! They’ll be giving away everything you’ve ever dreamed of at the Carnival Midway, and The Meatwad Full Dome Experience is back for another year of intergalactic-mind-travel. They’ll be bringing you nightly screenings (with famous people) and daily live streaming events (with somewhat famous people). It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s on the green! For more information visit adultswimpresents.com
• Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 9:30 AM–10:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Behind the Convention Center next to the 5th Ave. Pier and Ferry Landing

However FX will also have a display in the carnival spot between Hall H and the Hilton — Fargo Snowglobe? I’m in!!!

Enter the FX Fearless Arena
Escape vampires in The Strain’s live action virtual reality mission. Bundle up for a blizzard in the Fargo giant inflatable snow globe. Survive a medieval duel inspired by The Bastard Executioner. Check into a whole new American Horror Story. Are you ready to experience the FX Fearless Arena?
• Thursday: 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Friday & Saturday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Hilton San Diego Bayfront Lawn, Opposite Hall H

Other “experiences” you’ll find out and about town:

• The Xbox Lounge!
• The Her Universe Fashion Show
• Assassin’s Creed Experience 2015
• NBC’s World of Heroes Reborn and Blindspot, Gaslamp Square, Fifth Ave. and Harbor Drive
• Nintendo Video Game Lounge, San Diego Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis & Marina
• Game of Thrones: Experience the Realm, 628 L St. across from the Omni Hotel
• Fox Television’s Ice Cream for Scream Queens, multiple locations

Variety has a story on how TV is taking over Hall H from films this year—a story I read pretty much every year, BTW—but it includes a few details of these experiences:

And with more competition than ever, it’s important to do what it takes to break through, and kickstart the buzz. That’s why new players like Fox’s “Scream Queens” and NBC’s “Blindspot” are debuting their wares with flashy marketing campaigns, including the former’s vertical drop amusement ride that will capture fans’ screams with shareable GIFs, and the latter’s tattooed “Jane Does,” who will serve as a living scavenger hunt, giving fans a chance to win money if they locate a clue hidden in their inked designs.

Vertical drop amusement ride? Not as cool as the Batman zipline but could be fun.

FINALLY, WB just revealed the art for this year’s keycards: Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Teen Titans Go! and Supergirl. Nearly 40,000 of these branded room keys will be given out, treasured, dumped on ebay and then kept in a dusty keepsake box:
