The artist collective known as theBLVD is back with a new sketchbook and special guests, including emerging comics writer JONATHAN ROSS. The Beat endorses theBLVD.
theBLVD studio sets to launch its SIXTH consecutive year exhibiting (booth #1223) at San Diego Comic Con International (July 22-25th), debuting the newest installment in their acclaimed sketchbook series, as well as hosting celebrity guest JONATHAN ROSS, and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Join studio mates TOMMY LEE EDWARDS (Turf, Book of Eli), SEAN CHEN (IronMan, Avengers), and BERNARD CHANG (Superman, Wonder Woman) as they will be on hand with limited copies of theBLVD Sketchbook 4.0, featuring special guest artists BILL SEINKIEWICZ and DAVID LAFUENTE, along with all five of the original members (TREVOR GORING, JOHN PAUL LEON, et al) showcasing their latest behind-the-scenes work. Ross will also be appearing at the booth to promote and sign his sold-out comic book series “Turf” (Image Comics) with co-creator, Edwards. Members from SCAD will also review portfolios and promote their sequential arts program.
