Lake Forest, CA – November 6, 2018 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, Cartoon Network Enterprises, and Adult Swim today announced the November 14 release of Rick and Morty: The Rickshank Rickdemption Deck-Building Game.

Based on the popular Season 2 episode of the hit Adult Swim series, this sequel to Rick and Morty: Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Deck-Building Game lets 2-5 players become versions of Rick, Morty, and other characters as they try to take down the Galactic Federation and Seal Team Ricks. The game utilizes Cryptozoic’s popular Cerberus Engine in unique ways, as players must buy powerful, Rick and Morty-themed cards—like the Szechuan Sauce card—to improve their decks. It also includes a set of Council cards that let players cast votes to cause various in-game effects.

Players can use Council cards to force votes in order to bid for cards, punish a player, or make all players perform an action. Access Tokens, a limited resource that can be acquired, may be added to a player’s vote. Once a Council card is played, players can decide how many Access Tokens to use to attempt to sway the vote their way.

“The fact that Access Tokens can be secretly added to each player’s vote during a Council resolution creates a ton of unexpectedly nervous moments,” noted Matt Hyra, the game’s lead designer. “The Rickshank Rickdemption Deck-Building Game features more player interaction than any Cerberus game we have ever done!”

The game is fully compatible with Rick and Morty: Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Deck-Building Game. It can be combined with that game or other Cerberus Engine deck-building games to create a custom experience.

Rick and Morty: The Rickshank Rickdemption Deck-Building Game will be available at retailers nationwide starting November 14 for a suggested retail price of $40.
