After the success of Daredevil and Jessica Jones under the Netflix banner, and Luke Cage getting underway with Cheo Hodari Coker in charge, many had been wondering just where Marvel and the online streaming giant may take Iron Fist, the final part of their Defenders team.
According to a dual report from HeroicHollywood and Comicbook.com, answers may be starting to form. Per their sourcing, Scott Buck (Dexter, Rome, Six Feet Under) will be calling the shots on Danny Rand’s debut season. This will mark the second Dexter alum that Marvel Television has recruited, as Melissa Rosenberg also came from that series before taking on Jessica Jones.
Additionally, they provide what looks to be the official synopsis of the series:
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is expected to debut sometime in 2017.
