This Wednesday, Top Cow will release Son of Shaolin, a new graphic novel written by screenplay writer Jay Longino and illustrated by Uber artist Caanan White. The book follows a young boy named Kyrie who works as an aspiring street artist until he discovers his secret heritage as a powerful martial artist being hunted by a “relentless killer.”

As per the solicit text, the book has already been optioned for a film release with Dwayne “The Rock” Jonhson attached to produce.

A kung-fu epic set in the back alleys and subway tunnels of Harlem, New York.
