Last week, we had the exciting news that Jeff Smith is drawing an all-new Bone story that picks up where the Bone saga left off. In Bone: Coda, the Bone cousins and their new pal Bartleby the rat creature are heading home to Boneville…where you will recall, they had just been exiled from in the classic splash page of the first issue of Bone.
It’s not going to be an easy journey. And now a nine page preview has been released and you can see for yourself!
It’s a coda, sure, but to see Smith drawing these classic characters in a new story really brings a tear to the eye. Of course you can’t go home again…but sometimes you sort of can.
What a pure delight to spend time again with the Bone cousins. This is the most exciting comic news I’ve heard so far this year.
