We all know that former president Obama had a soft spot for comics, and even mentioned them a few times during his preidency. well it turns out thet President Trump and his chiefspeech writer Steve Bannon also like comics, because they quoted Bane from The Dark Knight Rises in Trump’s inaugural seech. Pretty cool, huh?

In the film Bane, portrayed by Tom Hardy, lifts himself up by the bootstraps from an impoverished, incarcerated childhood to lead a revolt of freedom seekers against Gotham City’s power structure, all while having a permanent disability and wearing an aid that allows his speech to be muffled.

  1. That was the most dark and negative inauguration speech I’ve ever heard. Not to mention isolationist, protectionist, and nationalist. With the “America First” lines, it’s the sort of speech Charles Lindbergh might have given, had he run against FDR and been elected. (Lindbergh admired Hitler, just like Trump admires Putin.)

    Someone needs to tell The Donald that the campaign is over, so he can stop giving campaign speeches. Also that he’s the president of all Americans, not just his base. That speech had Steve Bannon written all over it. Counting the days until Bannon oversteps and has to resign.

  2. But I have to agree with film critic Mark Harris (no fan of Trump’s), who tweeted:

    “White people in masks smashing store windows in a mostly black city. Good going, “anarchists.” “

  3. @Chap;

    We live in a fake country, if they paraphrased how Trump quoted Bane, then that would be actual journalism. How the heck can this site just say something w/out backing it up -We do not matter. Republican, or democrat “in power”, all that matters are things like asphalt, traffic, junk food, lobbyists, getting cancer, and things like over priced tiny pamphlets called “comic books” that are more for advertising space, and brand identity than they are about telling interesting, and fun sequential stories. Did you obsess enough today yet on who around you is ‘liberal’ or ‘conservative’, and then how to be an alienating mean bigot towards them, like a good ‘American’?

  6. America first is not offensive,. The Government exists to protect the citizens. It does not exist to hand over the country to Globalists.
