Brian Michael Bendis announced today that Powers, Playstation Network’s first live-action series, will premiere on March 10 with the initial 3 episodes. The series is scheduled for an initial 10-episode run, but rather than following the Netflix or Amazon Prime method of dropping all episodes at once, Playstation intends to release a new episode each Tuesday. Though a Playstation Plus membership will be required to watch the full season, Bendis, who co-created the Powers comic books and is executive producer of the show, said the first episode will be available to non-members on playstation.com.

Powers centers on Detectives Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) as they investigate cases involving superheroes and supervillains, working in a special homicide division called “Powers”. The cast also includes Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl, Eddie Izzard as Wolfe, Noah Taylor as Johnny Royalle, and Olesya Rulin as Calista. Click here for the first cast photo.

Bendis also said a new number one issue of Powers would be available at comic book stores and Comixology  on Jan. 21.
