Boom Studios has gone to the French comics well for another charming autobio comic about navigating life and love. PLATE TECTONICS: AN ILLUSTRATED MEMOIR is by Margaux Motin, whose work is widely known in France.
Due in June 2019, the book follows post-divorce Margaux’s life at 35 as she negotiates single motherhood and work while still trying to ease back into the dating world. But is a romance with her best friend a great idea…or a disaster waiting to happen?
Motin’s witty work is comparable to Penelope Bagieu in its exploration of modern life. “There are few things more complicated, unexpected, and rewarding in life than love.,” said Sierra Hahn, Executive Editor, BOOM! Studios. “PLATE TECTONICS explores the hard choices we sometimes have to make to truly embrace it.”
You can see more of Motin’s appealing work on her very popular Instagram account.
PLATES TECTONICS will be released from Boom’s Archaia line.
