Ming Doyle has posted her art school college thesis 1909, a steampunk girl’s own adventure.
1909 is a concept I developed for my college thesis in the fall and winter of 2006. I spent one semester toiling away at trying to create a credible prologue to what would ideally be one manga-sized digest volume following the dangerous and improbable exploits of a girl and her robot.
By the time I graduated, I had finished about 30 pages touching on the circumstances leading up to the events of the story proper. The comic presented on this site is that prologue, set in 1898. I hope you enjoy this small glimpse into a potential world!
