After very little lead-up to The Punisher season two premiere on Jan. 18, Netflix and Marvel are going all-out with promotional material in the final days before the series returns. In addition to releasing the official, extended trailer for the season on Thursday, Netflix also released individual Punisher character posters for Frank (Jon Bernthal), Amy (Giorgia Whigham), and Billy (Ben Barnes).
In addition to the dark imagery that The Punisher team has used since promotion for the first season began in 2017, each of these posters hints at where the characters are in their season two stories. Frank bears a handgun and his bloody skull vest while Amy holds a backpack that also appeared in the trailer. Meanwhile, Billy screams, a mask in his hand showing similar scars to the ones on his face, which Frank put there in their final fight in season one.
