If you were wondering who the Face of Comics 2016 is, how about Sana Amanat, Marvel’s Director of Content and Character Development. In addition to developing titles like Ms. Marvel, she’s also become something of a media figure, with a past appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore and tonight an appearance with Seth Meyers. Amanat will discuss how Marvel reflects “the world outside your window”, what it’s like to help craft the Marvel Universe, and what’s coming up for Marvel Comics. So maybe an announcement or two?
It’s worth noting that unlike some previous Marvel personnel appearances on Disney-owned shows on ABC, Late Night is on NBC. However Meyers is a big Marvel fan and even wrote a comic for them, back during the writer’s strike, so he has a lot of ties there.
At any rate, great media exposure for Marvel and Amanat. And for Seth Myers, who I’m sure has always wanted to be mentioned on The Comics Beat.
