As expected, all of the Marvel Now promo booklet has now leaked to Reddit, 4Chan and more reputable sites. I have to admit, despite the red saturation of these scans, these are great promo images, so say what you will about raising the prices and rebooting too many times, a great cover will often garner excitement anyway. I love the Batman riff in the Squirrel Girl cover by Erica Henderson, and Sara Pichelli’s Miles Morales/Spider-Gwen kissing is an instant classic.
Word on the street is that the X-men and Spidey will reboot down the line; there is more now to come; there is always more now to come.

You mean Superman riff right?
I’m not sure I agree. I feel, if you’re doing a promo image for a new title, and listing it’s creative team, the artist on the book should be the one doing the promo image so you have some idea of what you’re getting into! I mean, any cover artist can present a great book! That’s sorta the entire point of covers. So I think it’s a bit of a cheese out. Though a realize a few of these do have art from the actual book’s upcoming artist. But not too many…
To give Marvel some credit where it’s due, several of these titles look fun — which is very welcome. Perhaps the age of “grim and gritty” super-hero comics is coming to an end.
