The Negative Zone is about to meet the Adventure Zone. Marvel announced today that the McElroy Family, the creators of hit podcasts like My Brother, My Brother, & Me and The Adventure Zone, will be writing a tie-in series to the upcoming War of the Realms crossover event.

War of the Realms: Journey Into Mystery is a five-issue miniseries written by the McElroys (brothers Griffin, Justin, & Travis, and father Clint), with interior art by André Lima Araújo (X-Men Black: Mojo, the recent Silver Surfer annual) and covers by Valerio Schiti. The series will focus on the unlikely team of Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Wonder Man, and Balder the Brave as they fight to protect a small baby—who may be Thor’s sister—from the ravages of the war.

Last year the McElroys brought the first arc of their comedic RPG podcast, The Adventure Zone, to comics in the form of the Here There Be Gerblins graphic novel. Illustrated by Carey Pietsch and published by First Second Books, the graphic novel topped the New York Times bestseller list for Paperback Trade Fiction the week of its release.
