Infinity Wars starts at the end of July, but Marvel’s already hyping the Gerry Duggan / Mike Deodato, Jr. Event.  The current round  of teasers is “Death Wins.”  Now whether that means even more heroes getting killed off or this is the Death that Thanos was in love with and courting… that they haven’t specified.  I’d be wary of a double meaning if I were you…

Official PR follows:

There’s only one guaranteed victor in war: Death.

And this July, when writer Gerry Duggan and artist Mike Deodato Jr. ignite the INFINITY WARS across the Marvel Universe, the words “Death Wins” will never have been more true.

In INFINITY WARS, heroes and villains reap what they sow as their galactic search for the Infinity Stones leads to cosmic madness like never before. The simmering events of INFINITY COUNTDOWN spiral into something much, much bigger in this colossal story.

Look through this gallery of DEATH WINS teaser art, which includes special work by J.G. Jones and Nolan Woodard.

The cosmic event begins with INFINITY WARS: PRIME #1, on sale July 25!

  1. I’d be a bit more impressed if death actually meant anything in comics. Now if it were something serious like parking tickets…
