MARVEL BOOK PREVIEWS 9 2016Marvel has released their latest catalog, featuring trade titles for May – July 2016.

There are a few interesting titles, otherwise, these are collections of the periodical comics being published now.

Marvel doesn’t have any covers available, so this post is rather dry.  Here’s what I found interesting:

All of the information presented below is subject to change. Comicologists might be interested in the print runs listed, which are initial estimates based on expectations and previous sales figures. Perhaps someone will index them to the estimated sales from ICV2 next August?

[I remember similar playsets as a kid. If Marvel were really clever, they’d publish this as a hardcover book, a “toy theater“, and have each two-page spread be a background for the characters. Bind two elastic bands into the cover to hold the pages in place. Phidal publishes something similar… a box set of PVC figurines with a playmat for about $9.]
