As we’ve been mentioning, it seems everyone is working on something for the new comics app Stela which launched last week with a line-up of free preview comics. Eventually, all the new chapters of the comics will be available for a $5 a month fee – so maybe THIS is the Netflix of comics.

While a lot of the creators involved have been tweeting about their participation, here’s another one we just stumbled across, a collaboration between two comics all-stars: PowerPack creator Louise Simonson and long time Star Wars artist Jan Duursema:

Yay! Today is a great day because I can post a glimpse of the art for the story Louise Simonson and I have been creating for STELA! For your viewing pleasure today–pigs! @readstela

Simonson has mostly been working in licensed publishing of late, with picture books and middle grade prose novels, although she dabbles in comics from time to time. It’s pretty cool to see her working on something new, however especially with someone as talented as Duursema.

A few other teasers have been put up on Facebook:

While the subject matter of the comic hasn’t been revealed, maybe it’s Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes?
