Comic NEws Insider is a very well established podcast at this point—and it just posted its 500th episode with a gala list of guests including Michael Emerson, Carrie Preston, Veronica Taylor, Kevin Maguire, ChrisCross, Rafael Kayanan, Simon Fraser, Michelle Mozes, Qui Nguyen and even The Beat Herself! There’s lots of fascinating talk on the episode, including Kayanan talking about his weapons consultation work on NCIS-LA (LL Cool J “doesn’t need much fight training,” surprise surprise), Emerson on working with his wife, Preston, and Preston on her directing work and True Blood, Fraser on Judge Dredd and more. And there’s also come Jesus Christ Super Star filking. I am sad to say that I was not allowed to sing all of the score of Jesus Christ Superstar on the podcast, even though I CAN SO. Anyway, it’s a fun hour or two and congrats to Jimmy and his long time partner in crime Joe Gonzalez on reching the milestone.
