DC has scheduled another round of Looney Tunes crossover specials for the last week of August.  Who has the unenviable task of matching the brilliance of Batman/Elmer Fudd?  The line-up this times is Catwoman/Tweet & SylvesterHarley Quinn/Gossamer (yes, the big orange fuzzy monster), Joker/Daffy Duck and Lex Luthor/Porky Pig.  That’s right, the villains are meeting the Looney Tunes this time around.

While a lot of people are probably ready for a new Jimmy & Amanda Harley comic, the one to watch here might just be Mark (Flintstones) Russell writing Lex Luthor/Porky Pig.  Russell seems to thrive on dark and unusual interpretations of the classics.

Official PR follows:

Following the sales and critical success of titles like Batman/Elmer Fudd, more of Warner Bros classic cartoon characters will get the DC Universe treatment this August as DC revealed new quartet of DC/Looney Tunes special one-shot issues, written and drawn by some of the top names in the DC talent family. Each 48-page issue hits comic book retailers on Wednesday, August 29, includes both a main and bonus story featuring the title characters and will sell for $4.99.

This zany title lineup includes:

  1. Good call on the Mark Russell Luthor/Porky comic. I’m thinking the Catwoman/Tweety and Sylvester one will be the most fun though. There’s Inaki Miranda art to boot!
