Today marked the release of the first trailer to Kingsman: The Golden Circle. This film is the sequel to the surprise 2015 hit film Kingsman: The Secret Service, which was based off the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic The Secret Service. It sees the return of Eggsy Unwin, aka Galahad, a secret agent tasked with defending the world from dangerous threats– in this case, a new world order organization with the eponymous name “The Golden Circle.”

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who directed the first film in the series. In addition to Taron Egerton, who plays Eggsy, the film will feature Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, mark Strong, Halle Berry, Elton John, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is currently slated to release on September 22nd, 2017.

  1. The original film started out OK, but by the end it had become exactly what it was supposedly satirizing: dumb, hyper-violent spy movies… and with a “problematic” villain to boot. So I guess this one will simply start stupid, and stay there? Or will it get even stupider? Pass.

  2. I liked the movie much more than the comic, which I never say, so I thought that was something. I’m really hoping for some Channing Tatum/Taron Egerton shipping to accompany this.
