When it comes to superhero films, Empire always seems to get the next crack right after Entertainment Weekly, and the December issue of the magazine will be taking a dive into Jared Leto’s take on the Joker in Suicide Squad, with director David Ayer specifically calling Leto’s iteration “more social…a very successful and smart businessman besides being a sociopath”, and stating that his dress sense is inspired by Mexican cartels.
