After an unusual couple of months things are pretty much back to normal this month, with the usual suspects of Walking Dead, Saga, Star Wars and My Little Pony joined by a few new Image titles and Valiant’s best-seller yet. At the bottom end of the charts we finally see a few titles returning, although possibly quite briefly in some cases.
150 indie titles charted in the top 300, up on last month’s 135. The indie chart sold approximately 1,820,321 comics, a bit down on last month’s 2,031,509. That’s all due to the increased numbers that Walking Dead added last month. It also means that the average sales this month are 12,153, down on last month’s 15,048. Out of the 150 books, only 20 went up in sales and 112 went down, with the rest made up of one-shots and debuts.
Image at the top again with an 8.67% dollar share and a 9.77% market share, while IDW have a 6.68% dollar share and 6.26% market share, Dark Horse have a 6.11% dollar share and a 4.91% market share, Dynamite have a 3.20% dollar share and 3.00% market share and Boom! have a 1.90% dollar share and 1.92% market share.
UK and European sales from Diamond UK are not reported in this chart.

The bi-weekly All Out War event continues, and sales drop back down, maybe a little lower than I’d expected. No variants, but it’ll be a few more months until we can figure out whether this is a general downward trend. Issue #115 charts again with a further 10,024 copies sold.
21. Unity (Valiant) 11/2013: Unity #1 - 60,003
A surprisingly strong start, but then it is fully returnable. Valiant have just announced a 3D variant for retailers who keep their copies, but we’ll never know what it actually sells (unless Valiant want to tell us?). It seems to be a totally different story from the original 90s series, keeping just the name.
