A thematic sequel to How To Draw the Marvel Way?  Depends if you consider the original a book about process or a book about comics process.

Now being solicited for April 2019 (yes, the bookstore solicitation cycle is juuuuuuust a bit longer than the Direct Market), How to Paint Characters the Marvel Studios Way purports to be “Within the stunning pages of this keepsake book, readers will learn these artists’ favorite tools of the trade, their tips for visual character development, their process of collaborating with filmmakers and other artists on the team, and the costume and props departments—and how it all comes together to create seamless film designs!”

Which is to say, how to visually design characters for movies.  It probably has more in common with costume design than tips on page structure, if you’re following me here.

Still, if you’re landing on the film side of the superhero coin, this looks to be a significant art book release.
