For all the writer/artist types out there, this might be a cool diversion.

A website devoted to pencils of all shapes, sizes and colors.

If you’re a striking writer, stock up on writing utensils while you have the chance.

  1. Henry Petroski’s “The Pencil : A History Of Design And Circumstance” is an excellent source. I’m partial to Pelikan myself (made in Mother’s hometown), but would not refuse a genuine Thoreau pencil. And to remove the glamour, when using a pencil, you’re writing with mud. Really good mud, but mud nonetheless.
