Every year, Random house holds a Creative Writing Contest for NYC High School Seniors. Among the categories, graphic novels. Rules for entry in the link. The context is for NYC high school seniors only.
But Friday is the deadline! if you were on the fence get it together.
Literary compositions are judged by their technical merit; however, artistic expression is our core criterion. We are looking for writing with a strong, clear voice by authors who are daring, original and unafraid to take risks. Graphic novels are judged on the same criteria as well as storytelling, character design, artistic style, design and layout.
I was the judge for this once, and there is a lot of talent out there.
