Toy Fair is underway, and The Beat went to Hasbro’s presentation this afternoon. The secret word is DEFINITELY Rocket Raccoon. While the quirky characters of this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy film have already been getting some attention, you couldn’t even get near the toys in the showroom. And Rocket Raccoon is being spotlighted in a big way. Here’s the talking Rocket in action. There’s also a playset including a mask and more.

More to come.

  1. Since the value of the dollar is diminishing, and everything is made to break down and take our money (instead of work and last), and the price of gas is going up, and no one knows how to participate in a democracy (no one knows what congressional district they are in, the significance of gerrymandering, what all the amendments are, where their town halls or city council members are or where they meet…), and the average adult’s life in the USA is spent in traffic, staring at advertisements disguised as entertainment constantly interrupted with commercials, and in corporate anti-social culture, there is no way kids will know of anything else but to appreciate than the mass consumption of plastic in the form of this sh!* -like there will be any Americans left to afford this stuff in ten years… Can you imagine the majority of all of this stuff only being used by Indian and Chinese kids -HA!!! Keep out-sourcing America! Consumers that pretend to be Americans can only last for so long until the out-sourced labor steps up… I cant wait for the Avengers to be out-sourced to India and China -let them know what its like to see a bunch of stuff they will never be able to afford because their own country sold them out… yay rocket raccoon…

  2. I really hope that Bill Mantlo’s family gets enough of a percentage of the $ to pay for his caregiving. Somehow, I doubt it (but will be happy to be proven wrong.)
