Just like DC, this is more of a “review”, as the first chapter of the first volume is reprinted once again, just like they did in 2010. It’s a good introduction to an interesting story.

Not a hoax! Not an imaginary story! Grab this, and grab a second copy to be bagged and boarded, because this issue shows the first appearances of lots of new Tick variations! (Hmm… if all the Ticks are here, what are all the Arthurs doing back in those other dimensions?) Loads of fun!
Publisher: VIZ MEDIA LLC(W) One, Kouhei Horikoshi (A) Yusuke Murata, Kouhei Horikoshi (CA) Kouhei Horikoshi, Yusuke MurataNothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem – he just can’t seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! He is the One-Punch Man! Also: What would the world be like if 80% of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20% percent who were born Quirkless?
Two brief intros of two superhero-themed manga. One is a hero who searches for a worthy foe, the other is a student trying to survive the pop quiz on the first day of school! No need to wait for the trade!

…and Aspen goes the Flashpoint route, as all of their series are now under one universe. Post-apocalyptic, but maybe it doesn’t have to be… There’s also a brief handbook in the back. I’m not inclined to read further, but if you’re interested in superheroes and magic, maybe a different take on Aquaman, give it a look.
