When Titan expanded its comics reach to include European graphic novels, one of their first offerings was Elric: The Ruby Thronewhich recently saw release as a deluxe volume. Notable for the enthusiastic support of renowned fantasy author Michael Moorcock, whose Elric novels the series is based on, Titan’s graphic novel saga of Elric has so far encompassed two volumes. In addition to The Ruby Throne, Titan released Elric: Stormbringer in 2015.
Titan has exclusively told The Beat that September will see the release of the third installment in their Elric saga, Elric: The White Wolf. Reuniting much of the team that worked on the first two volumes, including writers Julien Blondel, Jean-Luc Cano, and Jean Bastide along with artists Robin Recht and Julien Telo, The White Wolf will be published in two parts. Part one hits the shelves on September 5.
From Titan:
A year has passed since Elric left Imrryr, his palace and his throne, leaving behind a heartbroken Cymoril. For a year he has walked the Young Kingdoms, under the distant gaze of his protector, Arioch. A year since he traded his skills as a wizard and fighter to the highest bidder, forging, in each battle, the legend of the albino warrior whose Black Sword terrifies the bravest of warriors. Today he is no longer Elric de Melnibone, the four hundred and twenty-eighth Emperor of the people of R’lin K’ren A’a. Today, the Young Kingdoms know him as the White Wolf.
