Dark Horse Comics has provided The Beat with an exclusive preview of the first six pages of the forthcoming The Once and Future Tarzan trade paperback.  The new 128-page collection includes the complete story written by Al Gordon, with art by Bo Hampton, Thomas Yeates, Steve Oliff, and Lori Almeida, plus some new bonus content. The story was originally serialized in the pages of Dark Horse Presents.

Here’s how the publisher describes the collection:

A surprising new tale that drops the lord of the jungle into an unfamiliar setting—the future! Can Tarzan’s vine-swinging skills serve him in the half-flooded ruins of a future London? Collects the complete story from the pages of Dark Horse Presents, along with over 40 pages of new material.

The preview pages provide a glimpse of an aging Tarzan’s life as he settles in to his new surroundings, until a group of warriors attack Tarzan and his pet lion, Jad, in their makeshift home.

Check out the preview below, and look for The Once and Future Tarzan in comic shops on November 28th.
