A whole generation, myself included, grew up in an era where Archie Comics were relegated to supermarket newsstands.  Recently, however, Archie has found new life in the direct market.  From the widespread attention that Death of Archie received, to rousing success of the Dark Circle imprint, and finally to the flagship title relaunch with Saga superstar Fiona Staples on art, Archie comics have more readers than ever before.  Many of these readers, however, missed out on the classic stories that formed the basis of this sequential institution.

Luckily, readers new and old will soon have the opportunity to take a trip back in time and read some of these stories in Betty & Veronica’s Cheer Squad, a new book that collects a number of cheerleading comics from many decades of Archie archives.  The book is a digital exclusive and will be available on several platforms including the Archie App, Comixology, and more.  It releases this FridayAugust 28th, 2015.
