Today, Telltale Games have announced the release date for episode four of their critically acclaimed episodic Batman game. Episode 4: ‘Guardian of Gotham’ will be available digitally worldwide starting Tuesday, November 22nd on PC from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The episode will be available the same day for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play.

Along with the announcement comes a new launch trailer giving fans their first look at the most famous character in Batman’s mythos, the Joker.

With Penguin in charge of Wayne Enterprises, Harvey Dent at war with the terrorist Children of Arkham, and Bruce himself locked up in Arkham; episode four will give players their most world shaping choices yet. No small task for a game that’s already allowed players to reshape familiar cannon in the foundations of Batman’s story. Episode four looks to drop even more bombs, even Telltale are trying to prepare fans.

Players will leave this episode in very different places depending on where they choose to go in the third act, and this will greatly affect their story rolling into the season finale as well.

What does that mean? In a game series that’s left players anxiously anticipating each episode it’s not to be taken lightly and luckily we won’t have to wait long to find out.
