At this year’s EA press conference, Dennis Brännvall, DICE’s Design Director for Star Wars Battlefront II, announced some hefty DLC for the game.

Timed for the latest movie in the Star Wars franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story, DICE will be rolling out updates next week that will feature content from the film. They are said to be focused on the planet Kessel and will also see a return of “Extraction Mode.” This DLC is due out on June 12th.

The Clone Wars is to also to see an inclusion in the video game, of which is to feature “one of the largest levels that we’ve made for Battlefront” said Brännvall. Players will be able to experience the likes of General Grievous, Count Dooku, Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker. There is no date yet revealed for this update.

These announcements came after Brännvall acknowledged last year’s loot box controversy, which prompted a large overhaul of the progression system. As the Design Director said himself, “Clearly, we didn’t get it quite right.”

In related Star Wars news, an additional game is due to come out next year; Jedi: Fallen Order. Announced at the beginning of the EA conference by Respawn’s CEO Vince Zampella. Reportedly, the player will control a Jedi during the “dark times” between episodes 3 and 4 when “Order 66” is in full effect. Not much else is yet known of this title.
