Diamond is currently seeking a Purchasing Director responsible for leading the Management and staff of its Merchandise team; monitoring and guiding relationships with key toy and specialty vendors and manufacturers and implementing company and departmental initiatives.

The Director is responsible for monitoring hobby/collector market trends in advance of mass market exposure; identifying and pursuing leads for selling pop culture products through Diamond; and finding innovative distribution opportunities designed to expand both the company’s product offerings and its target markets. The position will also actively work with inventory analysts regarding turn rates, risk analysis, and inventory positions.The Purchasing Director of Merchandise position will be based out of Diamond Comic Distributors Home Office in Timonium, Maryland.
