Beyond Daredevil and True Blood, Deborah Ann Woll has long been an outspoken fan of Dungeons and Dragons. In addition to guest-starring on series like Critical Role, she’s also done interviews about the classic TTRPG and generally made every dice-rolling geek’s heart flutter with her passion for the game. Now, she’s taking that passion and applying it to her very own DND-inspired Geek & Sundry series, Relics and Rarities.

“I’m so excited to finally announce my new show, Relics and Rarities,” Woll said in a statement. “We’ve assembled a stellar creative team, along with amazingly intricate set design, props and puzzles, a hilarious and surprising cast – and an original world and campaign of my own creation.” She added, “You’ll have to watch to see what tricks I have up my sleeve.”

Relics and Rarities features Woll as the Dungeon Master and storyteller of each weekly episode, which will premiere first on the subscription service Alpha (currently home to premium content from Geek & Sundry and Nerdist). Woll’s creative vision shaped the series, which follows a cast of adventurers who are “in a race against time to stop an unholy prophecy from coming to fruition.” It’s set in a curio shop in the town of Bellbrook and, unlike scripted shows, will feature actions and storylines determined by the gameplay.

The core cast of Relics and Rarities includes Tommy Walker (DaredevilHenry Danger), Julia Dennis (Lofty DreamsWhat Would You Do), Jasmine Bhullar (ThatBronzeGirl on Twitch), and Xander Jeanneret (King of NerdsSagas of Sundry). Each episode will feature surprise celebrity guests.

“Welcoming fans who have not yet experienced collaborative storytelling is an established mission of Geek & Sundry,” said Legendary Digital Networks (LDN) SVP of Production and Programming, Jason Corey in a statement. Corey added, “Partnering with Deborah Ann Woll has been a dream come true for us. We’re thrilled to be able to elevate and broaden the platform for a female Dungeon Master and to expand the fandom for this unique and exciting genre.”

Relics and Rarities premieres on Alpha in February 2019. Check out the first teaser trailer below.
