I had a glimpse at a review copy and I have to say that there’s a reason that they chose chapter 19–it really is stunning. That page with the destruction of the cities of the plain is insanely evocative: I was getting flashes of 9/11 as well as Viet Nam era napalm. My reaction was intensely visceral, which means, I suppose, it got the job done.
