The book list for dollars is much different — lots of Absolutes — but for that you must go to the link. It’s hard to draw conclusions for this except to say that people who shop at Comix Experience are really into the whole Josh Whedon/Brian K. Vaughan thing.

  1. Kudos to Brian for sharing.

The store I worked at years ago when I was in school, used to post a top ten monthly sellers list (with the issues there, if still available). I’d love it if my shop did that, just to see what people around here are reading.

  2. Amazing.
POS is really putting the teeth into the bite with hard data.
Granted this is Brian’s shop, but as a realist I’m thinking this is closer to the truth for many stores across the board. Which is closer to what retailers have been saying for years.

  3. This should definetely be the model for seeing what is selling -it would be great if you would share similar stats from other stores. This might even change the ordering pattern of some other stores.
Never seen an episode of Buffy and I’m probably loosing my geek cred for admitting that -but I’m kinda pleased the comic is doing so well… and “judenhass” is as high as number 19 -wow.

  4. This again shows what an atypical store Brian has. I remember when he used to talk about how much Veritgo books outsold X-books and it just amazed me.

  5. For a book that has no company-wide crossover events to help support it, Buffy sure is selling a lot of copies. Trade paperbacks, too.

  6. The Fart Party is the somewhat unfortunately named strip by Julia Wertz about life amongst the 20-somethings. It’s quite a funny strip, so google with impunity.
