Columbia has just released the FIRST official picture of Andrew Garfield in full, mask-on Spidey-garb and revealed that the next Spider-Man movie will be called THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. A fine title. Directed by Marc Webb from a script by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves, the film will be released July 3, 2012.

They taunt us by hiding his feet.
@”They taunt us by hiding his feet.”
Who designed this teaser, Rob Leifeld??!
James Vanderbilt wrote ZODIAC (one of my favorite films).
Alvin Sargent wrote PAPER MOON (perfect!) and ORDINARY PEOPLE.
Steve Kloves wrote THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS.
This could be really fantastic. I hope so!
Matthew-
Yeah, those are all terrific movies. The screenplay comes from amazing pedigree!
Steve Kloves is working on this?
Oh, man. I thought it sounded promising before, but now I’m eager for it.
I hope Kloves does some original screenplays as well. The HARRY POTTER movies were fine, but RACING WITH THE MOON and THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS are in a category we just plain need more of.
The redesign of the arms and gloves remind of the “Spiderman 2099” costume.
I thought it looked more like the “Ben Reiley” costume.
The costume looks like it was sewn together from dirty old basketballs.
O well let us all hope, should be better than spiderman 3 anyway. with all that talent and the feet :) involved.
What’s the deal with his left thumb?
I wonder who decided this look was better than the one designed by Ditko and perfected by Romita? This movie has my spider-sense tingling (not in a good way).
Don’t like it.
