As hard as it is to believe, Marvel Studios has kept a pretty firm grip on all details related to Daredevil a month out from its debut.
Other than a picture here and there, and the first few episode titles, we don’t know a whole lot else beyond the cast and that Steven S. DeKnight is showrunning the series.
Now, thanks to a Writer’s Guild event that is scheduled for after the show begins to stream, we know that Christos and Ruth Gage will be writing for the show this season.
The Writers Guild Foundation lists the following guests as a part of a “Staff Writer to Showrunner” panel focusing on the Daredevil writers’ room:
Steven S. DeKnight – DAREDEVIL, SPARTACUS
Christos Gage – DAREDEVIL, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT
Ruth Gage – DAREDEVIL, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT
Luke Kalteux – DAREDEVIL
Douglas Petrie – DAREDEVIL, AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Christos Gage is a Marvel vet with tons of comics under his belt, including, on the non-Marvel side, a critically acclaimed run on Buffy The Vampire Slayer with Dark Horse. Petrie has also dabbled in comics on the Buffy side of things. Ruth Gage has focused on television and film, having written Paradox (based on Christos’ comic) and for the series Numbers.
Daredevil hits Netflix on April 10th.
Excellent news. My interest in this series just went up considerably.
