Some big news came out of Marvel Studios today as they unveiled some concept art from next year’s Captain America: Civil War.  The art confirms the members of each side in the film’s hero on hero war and gives us some new information about the movie’s major players.

Of note is Agent 13 Sharon Carter, who made her debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and appears to be joining Cap’s side in the war against Tony Stark.  Iron Man won’t be without his own new allies, however, as Chadwick Boseman‘s Black Panther is shown charging into battle with the billionaire playboy philanthropist.  Boseman’s role in the film has been the subject of a great deal of speculation, and although Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has previously called Black Panther a third party in the war, it appears things have changed and the hero’s role enlarged.

On Captain America’s team are Hawkeye, Agent 13, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier.

On Iron Man’s team are War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther, and the Vision.Civil-War-3-9cc84

Earlier news confirmed Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man as a member of Captain America’s team, which leaves Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and new cast member Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as the wildcards.  Whose side do you think they’ll choose?

  1. I would assume Spider-Man will follow the comics and flip-flop, but they’ve never been slavish to the comic stories.

  2. Hahaha, not at all. After having seen Ant-Man in the Civil War footage shown at D23 I thought, “If I were Marvel how would I Easter egg this?” Took me a bit to find it

  3. I would think that Scarlet Witch will end up on Cap’s side with the distrust of Stark she had. Also with Vision seemingly on Stark’s side they need a heavy hitter to off set him which would point to her vs. Spiderman.
