It seems like it’s been forever since the first Game of Thrones season six trailer was released, and luckily HBO agreed. Today, the television network dropped a new trailer for the latest season of the fantasy political thriller.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the cost of an average Game of Thrones episode had ballooned from $6 million in season two to $10 million in season six. That’s an incredible budget for any television show, but watching this trailer, you can see where all the money went. It looks like we’ll be getting more huge set pieces as the Lannisters take on the Sparrows, the Night’s Watch takes on the Others, and a certain advisor in Meereen takes on a pair of angry cooped up dragons…
Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 29th.
Does Tyrion’s torch go out in the end? Looks like 2 different scenes. You can see Rhaegal in the same shot as Tyrion, but then it goes dark for the close up when he breathes fire.
