Even if you don’t play video games chances are you’ve heard the name Call of Duty. The first person shooting video game franchise has sold millions of copies across several titles and been endorsed by countless celebrities like RDJ. This year’s entry Call of Duty Black Ops 4 may be abandoning its traditional story campaign in favor of current gaming trend, the battle royale mode, but it’s still got zombies. The group battling hordes of the undead in this year’s game has their own story to tell. Dark Horse Comics gets to introduce the world to the brand new cast of characters coming to Call of Duty’s biggest zombie mode yet in a new series this September.

Dark Horse Comics and Activision invite fans to meet the brand-new cast of characters from this year’s game! Writer Justin Jordan (The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, Green Lantern: New Guardians) returns with new artists Andres Ponce (War Goddess, Tales of TMNT) and Mauro Vargas (Ash vs. The Army of Darkness, Star Wars: Darth Maul – Son of Dathomir) for a thrilling prequel to Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 that fills in some essential pieces to the Zombies puzzle.
Story details on the series are being kept tightly guarded. We’ll likely get more info on the game’s cast and this series during the Black Ops 4 SDCC panel this year which is scheduled to take place Thursday, July 19 at 1pm in 6BCF.
